Jono Brent is a magical, black-stovepiped scrap of a man, whose powers include churning out pun-laden copy and (legally) distilling things. When he grows up, he wants to be a pony.


Catherine Campbell

Catherine studied art at the College of Fine Arts in Sydney, Australia from 1997 – 2001. Soon after graduating she decided a move to Melbourne was the thing to do, where she still lives happily painting and drawing and making a mess.

Mel Campbell
Mel Campbell is a style and pop culture journalist and one fifth of giant poster magazine Is Not. The purdy fifth.


Paul Oslo Davis

Paul is an illustrator and cartoonist based in Melbourne. His work has appeared in magazines, books, newspapers and on websites. He also randomly does Melbourne’s only free one-page A3 magazine of drawings, Raised Eyebrows.

Polly Dedman
Polly Dedman is a Fitzroy-based illustrator the editors find elfin and charming.

Scott Drummond
A founding member of The Tessellations, Scott tutors at the University of Melbourne by day and draws on fake moustaches by night. Appropriately, he wrote this month’s piece of fashion eccentricity.

Lily Fraser
Lily Fraser is a graduate of the Otago Polytechnic school of fine arts. She is a Melbourne based artist whose art making practice includes clothing and jewellery as well as painting, sculpture and performance. Her practice centres around probing concepts of value and permanence.

Leanne Hall
Gracious to a fault, Leanne Hall agreed to write for this project while drunk. And wearing a toga.

Rachel Hills
Rachel Hills lives in Sydney, Australia. She is Associate Editor of online political and social issues magazine NewMatilda.com and writes for publications including the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, YEN, Russh, Girlfriend, The Monthly and others.

Andrea Innocent
Previously working within a broad range of disciplines including fashion and textile design innocentgirl is now a freelance illustrator,
artist and animator. A self-confessed nipponophile and there is no denying the influence her exposure to Japanese culture has had on her work. Themes range from investigations into the cult of otaku to traditional Japanese folk tales and Japanese textiles and their meanings. Her inspirations can come from various sources such as newspaper articles, Japanese television, and advertising, books, music, toys, animals, the Internet or just from watching life unfold around her.

Paulina Olszanka
Paulina Olszanka is a Melburnian, living it up in Warszawa, Poland. She writes and reads by day, teaches English by evening and nurtures romances by night.
At 7:30pm, Tuesday the 21st of August 2007, her interests are:

Sebastian Strangio
Sebastian Strangio was doing his Masters in International Politics, but now he has amended it to a Master of Internet Memes. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
